Students
1. The students have to produce library cards to avail the library services.
2. The students can be issued 3 Library Cards. 2 cards are for borrowing books and 1 card is for availing reading facility. The issued cards are not transferable.
3. Library Cards are issued to the students after 2-3 working days on submission of 3 copies of Acknowledgement Receipt of 1st Semester Admission (1-paged print out) and 3 copies of stamp-size colour photograph.
4. Library Cards are valid for 3/4 academic years from the admission of the student in the College.
5. 2 books (1 book from Central Library, 1 book from Seminar Library) can be borrowed at a time by the students as home issue for 1 month from the Library, provided the previously issued books are returned/renewed in time.

8. 1 book/journal issue/reference material can be borrowed at a time for the reading purpose within the reading area of the Central Library.
9. The fine would be calculated @INR 1/- per book per day (for a Student) and will be counted from the next day of the “Due Date”.
10. Loss of Card should be reported immediately, the original holder is responsible for any misuse of the lost card.
Staff-members
1. 10 books (5 from Central Library, 5 from Seminar Library) can be borrowed at a time by the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff as home issue for 3 months from the Library, provided the previously issued books are returned/renewed in time.
2. 4 books (2 from Central Library, 2 from Seminar Library) can be borrowed at a time by the Ad-hoc Non-Teaching Staff as home issue for 3 months from the Library, provided the previously issued books are returned/renewed in time.

4. The fine would be calculated @INR 2/- per book per day (for a staff-member of the College) and will be counted from the next day of the “Due Date”.
5. Teaching staff can borrow book as day issue. The book has to be returned within the same day of issue. Falling which, the fine of @INR10/- per book per day will be imposed.
General Rules
1. Unauthorized persons shall have no access to the Library.
2. Conversation, waiting, food-intake etc are not allowed in the Library. Users are not permitted with their personal belongings in the stack and/or reading area.
3. The borrowed books must not be damaged or disfigured in any way. Borrowers should notify all damages found in the books at the time of issue. Otherwise they will be responsible for any damage that may be found at the time of return.
4. In case of loss or damage of books issued, the borrower will have to replace the same books of the latest edition.
5. Renewal of a book is only possible if multiple copies of it are available in the Library, or there is no demand for the book by other members of the Library.
6. Reading facility is only available in the Central Library. Books are not to be passed on to other readers.
7. Library Clearance has to be taken for release from the College.
8. The Library remains open during summer recess (16th May to 30th June).
